Strengthening Families – Building Protective Factors: Your Role as an Early Childhood Educator – Research shows that strong early childhood programs can be enhanced to incorporate child abuse prevention strategies and can serve as an effective “early warning system” to immediately and effectively address risky situations. This training addresses the early childhood educator’s role in building protective factors, facilitating an atmosphere of and for family support, and creating a strong “early warning system” at the program level. Specific emphasis will be on working with Early Intervention programs in the area.

* Child Care Works limits provider/site/center enrollment to evenly distribute registration. Each site may initially register up to three (3) staff per workshop. All others will be waitlisted.
* Complete one form per person, including all requested information. Enclose a separate check with each person’s workshop form. Participants can not be registered without payment.
* Please do no send payment for more than three (3) staff. In case of overpayment, a CCW Training Coupon will be issued.
* Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Neither payments or registrations are accepted at the door.
* Registration fee is non-refundable unless the workshop is full or cancelled by CCW. Workshops may be cancelled due to weather or insufficient enrollment. NOTE: “No Shows” are held responsible for payment. A substitute may be sent if the original enrollee cannot attend.

Family Child Care Plus: Caring for School-Age Children in Family Child Care
This three-hour workshop is required for providers who wish to be licensed for two additional school-age children. You must have two years of family child care experience to apply for this license. Note: A Certified FCC Plus Assistant must meet the qualifications of the provider. Cost: $15.

Introduction to Large Family Child Care
This five-hour workshop is required for providers who wish to be licensed for up to 10 children. You must have three years full-time experience in family child care to be eligible for this license. A Certified LFCC Assistant must meet the requirements of the provider. Cost: $25.00
